Last week, the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Respect@Work Council launched the Respect@Work website designed to educate both employers and employees about how to best address and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
It contains a comprehensive range of free resources for all, including best-practice guides, training programs, workplace assessment tools, and other forms of information and advice – all with the goal of helping to create safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environments in Australia.
With changes to employer obligations on the horizon – in particular a positive obligation to take reasonable measures to prevent sex discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace – its best to review current processes now to ensure your workplace has effective measures in place.
The website can be viewed here at https://www.respectatwork.gov.au/
