Background

A well-known and respected importer and distributor of spare parts to the Australian automobile industry sought the services of a specialist occupational, health and safety (OHS) provider to design and set-up an OHS program that ensured that they were meeting their legal obligations.

The Problem

OHS had traditionally been one of those areas that the business had trouble implementing into their operations. It was seen as being either too complicated, too hard or too expensive. As a result, over the years, they had made only very basic and half-hearted attempts to implement OHS within their operations, and they were thus legally exposed.
