Airtasker and Unions NSW – Only the beginning?


Airtasker - a new and popular app where individuals seek and provide ad-hoc labour - has been working with Unions NSW to improve working conditions through an agreement that increases pay and provides injury insurance as well as dispute resolution services for workers. Secretary of Unions NSW, Mark Moley, called the agreement a “world first in regulating gig-based work” and claimed that such agreement was “only the beginning” for the gig economy.
