457 Visa Change; Fast food chains no longer able to hire foreign managers.

Amid growing concern regarding youth unemployment in Australia, the Liberal Government has barred the fast food industry from hiring 457 Visa Holders in managerial or supervisory roles. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection last week handed down the decision which they believe will provide greater career pathways for Young Australians. The changes will not affect any existing labour arrangements between foreign workers and fast food chains.
