And for dessert, I score you $2.6 million in back payments.

Celebrity chef and judge of the popular reality TV show “MasterChef” George Calombaris has been left “devastated” after his restaurant group was found to have underpaid 162 employees around $2.6 million. Calombaris, who is the founder and director of MAdE Establishment Group, has blamed rapid growth and “attention to detail that wasn’t at a level that it should have been” for the underpayments. Mr Calombaris issued a statement to staff apologising for the error, and reassuring them that he is “working extremely hard” to fix the issue.
